DAY 0: Arrival (Kilimanjaro Airport) – Moshi

Our hospitable driver and guide from your Tanzania KITANO TOURS AND SAFARIS will meet you at Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport soon after you arrived, while you are being provided with short briefing you will be transferred to your planned hotel, and KILIMANJARO WHITE HOUSE HOTEL in Moshi Tanzania is happily advised. You will get into your accommodation, relax and familiarize with authentic African atmosphere. Ready to start your 3 DAYS WEST KILIMANJARO CYCLING TOUR the next day. Moshi is a town in northern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border. It's known as a gateway to Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Trails run up the mountain’s cloud-ringed, snow-capped dome, through alpine forests and meadows home to elephants and leopards. One of Tanzania's major coffee-producing hubs, Moshi is known for its coffee farms and auctions.

DAY 1 : MOSHI - OLPOPONGI MAASAI VILLAGE

>>> Our ride today takes us through the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area which is one of Tanzania’s best kept secrets. Enduimet borders Amboseli National Park and serves as an important migratory route for wildlife including the African elephants and other animals. This area is inhabited primarily by the Maasai people but there are large populations of other tribes such as the Chagga, Meru and Pare people. Your ride starts off on the wide-open plains dotted with acacia trees but it gets greener as you approach the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro where a lot of cultivation takes place. Your cycling tour today ends at Longido village which is situated on Maasai homesteads and overlooking the west Kilimanjaro plains.

DAY 2: SINYA VILLAGE TO SANYA JUU VILLAGE

>>> You will be wrapping up your last day of cycling by traversing the villages and plantations on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The first half of the ride will be comprised of several steep ascents and descents. You will cycle through the suburbs and outskirts of Kilimanjaro on the back roads as you head towards Sanya juu village, which marks the end of your incredible 2-day journey around West Kilimanjaro, on two wheels. You will seal of the evening with a nice celebratory dinner and sparkling wine to toast to your achievement.
